Advocacy
This committee educates families and caregivers on important issues related to health and educational success of their children. They are also tasked with improving communications and relationships between school staff and families. Time commitment is minimal. Will need to attend PTSA meetings that are held virtually every other month for an hour or so. If interested, email the PTSA President.
Audit
This committee is responsible for monthly bank-statement reviews and a financial review at the end of the fiscal year. Time commitment is minimal. If interested, email the PTSA President.
Campus Beautification
This committee organizes campus clean up days and other projects to help make the grounds and building look nice at NWCCA. Can require more time as it may involve coordinating and volunteering for events. If interested, email the PTSA President.
Communications
This person would help with communication to the members throughout the year. It involves monthly newsletters, social media posts, and updating the NWCCA website. This position can be done from home. If interested, email the PTSA President.
Hospitality
This committee organizes events throughout the year to recognize students, faculty and staff at NWCCA. Can require more time as it may involve shopping, coordinating and volunteering for events. If interested, email the PTSA President.
Membership
This committee recruits families to join the NWCCA PTSA which is crucial to meeting our goals and objectives. Their responsibilities include: picking up membership cards and envelopes from NC PTA; choosing a theme for the membership drive; planning and distributing teacher and staff invitations; developing and distributing flyers to parents to recruit families to join the PTSA. They also track all members who join. Time commitment is heavy at the beginning of the school year and then becomes minimal. If interested, email the PTSA President.
Nominating
This committee, throughout the year, identifies talented, motivated and responsible individuals to serve as PTSA officers. Time commitment is greater in the spring as positions will need to be filled for the upcoming year. If interested, email the PTSA President.
